Frontiers and Low Man’s Joe at House of Blues, 1204 Caroline, doors 8pm, show 9pm, $13.50-40.00. Frontiers is a Journey tribute band led by Jeremey Hunsicker who spent time writing and recording with the original Journey in 2007. To call Frontiers just another tribute act is like calling a 500-pound Bengal tiger just another cat; Frontiers sets the gold standard that other tribute acts follow. They will be joined by Low Man’s Joe, one of Houston’s creme de la creme hard rock acts, who take the stage for the first time in 2010, the very same stage they electrified with a performance that won the HOB’s Battle of the Bands contest in 2009.
